Arab-Israeli Wars war game after action report

Alex provides an after action report for the B-4 Botzer situation for Avalon Hill’s 1977 game, Arab-Israeli Wars. “…one of the smaller scenarios, a meeting engagement between a small group of Israeli M-48s and a mixed Egyptian force of T-62s and mobile infantry.” The Arabs try to fight their way off the map while the Israelis hammer them from behind sand dunes. With limited tactical options and unlimited LOS for the Israelis, Alex concludes: “it felt like shooting fish in a barrel”.

Arab-Israeli Wars war game after action report

Ryan Schultz provides an illustrated after action report for the S-2 Abu Agheila scenario for Avalon Hill’s 1977 game, Arab-Israeli Wars. In playing two games simultaneously with friends, “…both games had a furious backfield tank battle develop among the sand dunes…” Each side claimed a win. “In one game the line held firm and was not penetrated at game end. In the second a breach was achieved but too late to allow the Israeli's to exploit and exit.”
