  • 2x_blind.sit (28672 bytes) Contains the Doubleblind II Hypercard stack for doing a small hexmap campaign doubleblind for miniatures.
  • Aslmaper.sit (21248 bytes) A HyperCard stack for making maps for ASL, has the hexgrid on the background, you paint terrain on the foreground, and there is a button for putting in the hex codes.
  • Dipaidbc.sit (174336 bytes) Diplomat's Aid was originally designed as a HyperCard stack to facilitate the play of PBeM/PBM Diplomacy games. It can keep and adjudicate every move for a single game, for up to 18 years, and you mave save the game to disk for later retrieval. This version of the software is a stand alone application and features a computer "General" to move the fleets/armies of 1-5 countries.
  • Dip-log.sit (17024 bytes) This stack keeps track of an infinite number of Diplomacy games at once. It provides notes, and will count units for each country. Requires HyperCard 2.0.
  • Genquart.sit (20608 bytes) Contains a pair of stacks for General Quarters, one does a nicer set of ship records, and has some ships from one of the Guadalcanal battles entered. The other is a movement plot sheet for printing.

  • Drawhexgrid - creates hex grid image files. Also includes a tutorial on map graphics.
  • Electronic Cardboard (ZIP - 2MB) - PBM/PBEM aide, v2.1 - Resurrected by designer Rich Hogen, "Electronic Cardboard" was originally conceived as a Game Assist Program (GAP) for the Play-By-Electronic-Mail (PBEM) community. It was created to address the need for non-destructive overlay of bitmaps atop bitmaps. Although features are based on gaming needs, EC may be universally useful for overlaying tasks. In the modern computing environment EC can be used in conjunction with Netmeeting or Webex or similar desktop sharing software to play a game in real time, i.e. synchronously. Gaming references in this Help file assume asynchronous play (e.g. PBEM).
  • Excel Counter Generator - xlctrgen.zip (zipped file) - Included in the Excel file are two sets of examples, and an explanatory text file. Once the counter layout and color schemes are correctly defined, it makes incorporating any changes to the counters very quick and easy
  • Gqhelper.zip (395471 bytes) Game helper for General Quarters (miniatures game). Author is Daniel Cleyne.
  • God of Mini Wars PBEM aide/computer opponent (6Mb) (Mark Ainsworth)
  • Hexdraw - graphical editor for designing hexagon grid game map.
  • Hexover.zip (846k) - creates hex grids on bitmaps.
  • Mkhexgrid - A fully-configurable hex grid generator
  • Smaz.zip (zipped files) Staff Map Assistant allows you to recreate battles/campaigns on a map. It may be useful for people designing or developing wargames as well as those interested in military history. You create the map and units as .bmps. The units can be moved around the map as you like by simply dragging them and moves can be recorded and played back. You can also maintain an Order of Battle for your units. To see a demonstration, run the sma.exe then open the file WF410622C.mil. Author is Michael O'Donoghue.
