"We are extremely excited to be chosen by Battlefield Design Group to publish ROAD TO MOSCOW," said James DeGoey, President of Arsenal. "The ROAD TO MOSCOW development team contains some of the best computer wargame designers in the industry. We have no doubt that this simulation will be well received by both hardcore and casual wargamers." ROAD TO MOSCOW is a strategic-level simulation of the Axis-Soviet conflict from 1941 to 1945. The player is cast in the role of the German (OKH) or Russian (STAVKA) high command with the responsibility for planning offensives and counterattacks, managing force allocations, and monitoring operational progress. The player is aided by a variety of reports on force levels, unit readiness, logistics, air superiority, and intelligence. The game features a 1:2,000,000 scale topographical map that extends from the Arctic ports of Murmansk and Archanglesk in the north to the Black Sea coast of Turkey in the south, from Bosporus and Warsaw in the west to Stalingrad in the east. "Battlefield Design Group will produce cutting-edge games, starting with "strategic simulations of the Second World War in Europe." says Jeff Billings. "We are a group of dedicated gamers. Battlefield Design Group is composed of long-time game developer Jeff Billings, formerly of MicroProse, systems guru Andy Finkel of Commodore's Amiga fame, and Phil Gardocki, designer and developer of the original ROAD TO MOSCOW game published in 1984 for the Commodore 64.
